Our focus is research into aortic conditions. This means we study the causes of aneurysm formation and look at finding better methods of diagnosis and treatment, comparing different techniques. We also assess quality of life following surgery and the impact of risks factors on results.
At any one time we have 8 to 10 research fellows. We also have a long-standing collaboration with Professor Manuel Mayer and Professor Qingo Xu at British Heart Foundation Centre of Excellence.
